SeeRRI was a proud contributor to the 3rd Annual Citizen Engagement and Deliberative Democracy Festival held by the European Commission from 6-12 December 2020.
The festival is an open event that unites people who are interested and involved in citizen engagement and deliberative democracy in Europe and beyond. We were delighted to participate in such a vital event that supports on-going citizen engagement initiatives, including many H2020 projects like SeeRRI.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the festival was held entirely online this year. But this did not hinder the proceedings which included open discussions, interactive sessions and an exhibition of citizen engagement projects and artwork.
We prepared a video presenting the SeeRRI project on building self-sustaining research and innovation ecosystems in Europe. This was uploaded to a video gallery of citizen engagement and deliberative democracy projects which was available to view throughout the festival and will be on the EU Academy Portal for the whole of December.
We were honoured to be included among this group of projects that inject novel approaches to citizen engagement, focusing on co-creation and spanning art, science and technology.
