18th European Week of Regions and Cities

SeeRRI was delighted to contribute to this online event held over a week starting on 5 October 2020.

The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement EU cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.

On day three of the event, a session was held on “Shared agendas: the next step of EDP” looking at the Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDP). The purpose of the webinar was to present solutions to the challenges posed in engaging all relevant stakeholders in the process. SeeRRI partner and Head of Economic Promotion of the Catalan Government, Tatiana Fernandez took part in the session with a presentation on “Coalitions for transformative change through shared agendas in Catalonia”, showcasing the agendas developed as part of the SeeRRI project.

Tatiana also participated in the session held on 13 October focused on “Smart Specialisation Strategies for SDGs”. Looking at new developments in S3 as a worldwide methodology promoting the achievement of sustainable development goals, this workshop focused on presenting successful cases, specifically their contribution to sustainable innovation. Tatiana presented the case of the B-30 transformative shared agenda developed under the SeeRRI project as a practical example of how smart specialisation strategies can be successfully implemented in a region.
