SeeRRI will be presented at the European Week of Regions and Cities 2019 in Brussels

The SeeRRI project will be presented at the European Week of Regions and Cities 2019 in Brussels on 9 October 2019, in the session “Science for Citizens: how science meets regions and cities”.

The workshop will present how researchers and policymakers are able to design solutions together for local policy challenges based on scientific evidence, and how citizens get involved in science. The aim is to help understand how to improve citizens’ life and use research findings to address societal challenges. Finally, the workshop will showcase new approaches to co-creation with multiple stakeholders in the process of developing regional research and innovation strategies. For example, SeeRRI focuses on establishing responsible research and innovation ecosystems by integrating RRI and Smart Specialisation Strategy, while the project TeRRItoria tackles a double challenge by bringing RRI to the forefront of the debate on developing local and regional R&I capacities and using RRI as a springboard for stakeholder involvement in regional R&I strategies under the framework of Smart Specialisation.
