We are pleased to be back with news on our project! Here is a quick summary of what has been going on since our last newsletter:

September 2019
18-20 September: SeeRRI project meeting, RRI training, and stakeholder Workshop in Bologna, Italy. Read all about the activities and outcomes here.
October 2019
9 October: Nhien Nguyen speaks at the “Science for Citizens: how science meets regions and cities” workshop (part of the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels) Read more here.
29 October: Ángel Honrado presents SeeRRI at the "Science and Society" conference (University of Galicia). Event focused on RRI and EU-funded research advancement programmes.
November 2019
7-8 November: Åge Mariussen (NRI) presents a typology of regional innovation ecosystem dynamics based on SeeRRI’s mapping techniques at the Regional Innovation Policies Conference in Florence, Italy.
December 2019
17 December: SeeRRI’s first One-Day Mission (understanding regional/territorial context) with B-30 stakeholders at the OpenLab at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
January 2020
9 January: SeeRRI's second One-Day mission in Nordland regarding thematic focus of RRI in regional planning strategy.
10 January: Co-creation workshop for NRI and Nordland County Council representatives to discuss methods for engaging local stakeholders.
30 January: Nhien Nguyen, Jens Ørding Hansen and Are Jensen publish Open Access paper: “The responsible learning organization: can Senge (1990) teach organizations how to become responsible innovators?” Find out more here.
29 January: SUPER MoRRI conference in Leiden (Netherlands). Nhien Nguyen gives 3-minute pitch on SeeRRI, and she and Ángel Honrado present a project poster and hand out information leaflets.
February 2020
12 February: SeeRRI training workshop for RRI facilitators at institutional and territorial level at the Design Lab at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
13 February: SeeRRI General Assembly at Casa Convalescència in Barcelona with affiliated territory guests (Israel, Finland and Serbia). Presentation of SeeRRI model and discussion on RRI in Smart Specialization and EU Green Deal processes.
14 February: Circular Economy Workshop at Casa Convalescència for B-30 stakeholders and discussion: how best to tackle the transition to zero waste in a circular economy?
Nhien Nguyen (NRI), Liv Rask Sørensen (NCC), and Anders Paulsen (NHO) publish an op-ed on responsible coastal management in Avisa Nordland. Future challenges and how SeeRRI can contribute to the process. Article (in Norwegian) here.
18 February: 1st Lower Austria stakeholder workshop in Sankt Pölten. Participants share views on the plastics industry with a focus on achieving a CO2-neutral economy in the region.
March 2020
2 March: Nhien Nguyen presents at the seminar “How to build a responsible regational innovation ecosystem?” at SIVA, the Industrial Development Corporation of Norway.
18 March: First Review Meeting held online due to travel restrictions. Overview of participants and regions and presentations by Work Plan leaders on actions, achievements and planned next steps.

2020

Further Stakeholder Workshops have been planned for the three regions later in the year. We will keep you posted with our progress and any news.

2021

Nhien Nguyen, Jens Ørding Hansen, and Are Jensen will chair the session Responsible Innovation in the Learning Organization" in the Learning Organization Conference to be organized in Kristiansand, Norway, in 2021.

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, the SeeRRI team are working remotely to prepare the next steps in the project roadmap. We are looking forward to getting back to business as usual and moving forward with the workshops and events in our calendar, and will keep you up to date with all our news.
